Our Impact

Our role is grounded in real work on real landscapes. Peaks to People Water Fund brings people together to invest in healthy, resilient watersheds before disasters occur.

Since 2017, we have directed $2 million toward high-priority forest restoration and watershed resilience projects, leveraging an additional $7.6 million through partnerships. Together, we have supported more than 3,200 acres of restoration while advancing landscape-scale strategies that protect drinking water, strengthen ecosystems, reduce catastrophic wildfire risk, and enhance nature’s ability to provide essential benefits for people, agriculture, wildlife, and future generations.

“Peaks to People funding has really helped us grow our program by increasing the number and size of projects we can do. This has in turn allowed local logging contractors to hire additional help and purchase equipment which is increasing capacity. Not only does Peaks to People help the district with much needed funding but they are also helping us to prioritize our projects through the use of their Watershed Investment Tool.” Matt Marshall former Forestry Program Manager, Larimer Conservation District

Our collaborative work helps many additional projects move forward by connecting partners, aligning funding, and coordinating implementation across the landscape. By blending science, partnerships, and investment, Peaks to People is helping Northern Colorado move from isolated projects to coordinated, landscape-scale stewardship.
